Hippolyte Sr.

Armond Hippolyte Patout Sr. (b.1830 d. 1882)

Hippolyte Patout Sr., son of Appoline and Simeon Patout, began operating Enterprise Plantation shortly after the Civil War. He is credited for working to restore the plantation to its prewar prosperity. Not only did he operate Enterprise Plantation alongside his brother, but he also held many positions in public office throughout his community. On his deathbed, he left his portion of Enterprise to his wife, Mary Ann.
